Tributing the best of the 70's and 80's, Firefly produce music ranging from sweet harmonies and easy listening sounds to fun rock n roll guaranteed to keep you on the dance floor.

Firefly cover classic songs from artists including Allman Brothers, Beatles, CCR, CSNY, Doobies, Dylan, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Pretenders, Rolling Stones, Shocking Blue, Stealers Wheel, Tina Turner, Tom Petty, Van Morrison, and more.

Firefly consists of five talented, and experienced muso's, who have developed a great reputation and following in the Illawarra, leaving audiences coming back for more. 

The band features Margaret King on lead vocals, acoustic guitar and percussion, Will Tibben on vocals and acoustic guitar and lead guitarist Cohen Brown. The house gets a rocking with the addition of the powerhouse rhythm section, bass player Riley Stratton Jackson and drummer Andrew Jackson.

Margaret our lead vocalist has an energizing presence and has sung alongside performers including Monica Trapaga, Greedy Smith, Zoltan Budhai, Kevin Bennett, Jeremy Edwards, Liza Olback and The Voice finalists Dianna Rouvas, Simon Meli, Gail Page and Mitchell Anderson. Margaret has written original songs including ‘Don’t look back’ co-written with Shane Nicholson and is currently producing an album with Doug Weaver.

Will, an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, has sung and played guitar and bass for well-loved local bands including Monkey’s Uncle, Seaside Neighbours, The Suspects and Tamnesia.

Cohen has been playing in working bands since the age of 14. He has extensive live experience having toured nationally and internationally with various groups within the genres of hard rock, ska, soul and reggae, including The Brazen Hearts, Topnovil, Not OK, and Steppin Razor, to name a few. He has also featured on national radio for his original works, with one composition receiving an honourable mention in the Billboard World Songwriting Contest. 

Riley Jackson, is an extremely accomplished bass player of 10 years, who has spent his time performing locally and nationally in venues and across the festival circuit for a variety of bands including Rocking Horse & the Baby Dolls, Bec Sandridge, Enter the Jaguar and Jack R. Reilly.


Andrew ‘Jacko’ Jackson has been playing drums and percussion in local bands for the past 40 years … so far … and with many more to come. He is a versatile drummer having played with The Suspects, Bluesberry Jam, Payday Millionaires, Strange Brew, Monkey’s Uncle and 3 o’clock sunset.
